Abstract

This article describes the use of the play format for education in hospital environments. It describes how “the story” has been used in the past. It discusses the history of a collaborative group of librarians and nurses and their experiences in writing, producing, and directing evidence-based plays in their hospitals. The article also describes lessons that were learned in the process, as well as the potential of plays in educating hospital staff in the future and the unique role of the librarian in the iteration of the process.
