For the last 27 years, the Journal of Couple and Relationship Therapy has been dedicated to the interests of adult couple relationships through its rigorous research articles, treatment articles, theoretical pieces, and diverse perspectives expressed in other formats. It is a premier outlet for giving voice to contemporary issues in couples where current ideologies are explored, challenged, and resolved. We at JCRT strive to be the expert resource for academic and professional consumers who conduct assessment of, provide education to, and intervene with today's couples.

I would like to thank Dr. Volker Thomas for his stewardship of JCRT. Under Volker's watch, JCRT has followed the pace of the changes in couples therapy and education. He has increased the visibility, rigor, and interest in JCRT with his focus on timely topics. I would also like to thank those who are stepping off the editorial board for their service. A special thank you goes to Dr. Damon L. Rappleyea, who is stepping down as Book Review editor. It is my hope that we will reinvent this section to be more applicable to couples in today's culture.

Generally, JCRT's mission is to offer perspectives in theories on couples work, research, and practice, with a nod to personal growth and enhancement of supervisory practices. This mission will not shift with my leadership; rather, my leadership will be designed to continue this mission in various ways. My vision is to cultivate a culture of flexibility in designing ways to better reach JCRT's objectives. I hope to work with the editorial board to implement creative ideas to increase visibility and number of submissions.

As the new Editor-in-Chief, I have a vision of JCRT continuing to produce high-quality, engaging, and relevant articles. We want to maintain good relationships with our authors and be helpful in their work, thereby facilitating the advancement of the science and practice of couple therapy. We are dedicated to providing content that drives the field of couple therapy in ways most helpful to the beneficiaries: the couples themselves.
