Abstract

The first section of this article looks at the past of the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education (IAPCHE) and the different phases in the historical development of the organization. Important positive achievements are discussed in detail. This section concludes with suggestions of how IAPCHE can improve its work. The second section emphasizes present opportunities. The hope is expressed that Christian academics in the future will be not merely critical spectators, but above all, involved participants in the struggle for Christian higher education.
