Modeling of Processes of Cluster Formation under Pulsed Laser Ablation of Carbon Particles in an Aerosol

Abstract

The package of models and programs for modeling of cluster formation under pulsed laser ablation of solid particles in an aerosol is developed. Models describe processes of heating, melting and evaporation of solid particles, vapor expansion into surrounding gas, formation and growth of clusters at moderate intensity of laser radiation in the nanoseconds range of pulse duration. Numerical investigation of processes of formation of clusters at pulsed laser ablation of carbon particles of the micron size in helium is carried out.
