Abstract

In this research, the synthesis and swelling behavior of a hydrogel nanocomposite based on acrylamide, graphene oxide and polypopamine have been investigated. The synthesis was performed by grafting with optimal values to achieve a hydrogel with high water absorption swelling capacity. The polymerization reaction was performed in an aqueous medium in the presence of an ammonium persulfate initiator and methylene bisacrylamide crosslinker. The mechanism was proposed for the formation of hydrogels and its structure was confirmed by FTIR, XRD and SEM devices. The results obtained from water absorption and its swelling values in buffer solutions shown the synthesized hydrogels have high absorption capacity.
