Abstract|The C60 iodine-doped by solid-vapor reaction was examined with an analytical electron microscope. The stoichiometry of the sample was determined in situ to be C60I2 by electron energy-loss spectroscopy, and the structural change of the|f.c.c.C60 into the orthorhombic C60I2 was investigated during the intercalation process of iodine between (111)-planes of
f.c.c. C60.
