Author Biographies

An author biography was mistakenly excluded from the Journal of Social Work in Disability & Rehabilitation, volume 14, issues 3–4. Nicole Wheeler was one of the contributing authors for the article titled “Understanding the Challenges to Providing Disabilities Services and Rehabilitation in Rural Alaska: Where Do We Go From Here?” (pp. 222–232), but her information was not included in the “Author Biographies” section at the end of the issue. Her biography is as follows:

Nicole Wheeler is currently a student at the University of Texas San Antonio, in the College of Public Policy-Department of Social Work. She graduated from Cornell University. While at Cornell, she served as the Chairperson of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society and Treasurer for Native American Students Association. Nicole was also an active member of the Hawaii Club and played on the varsity softball team. Prior to graduate school, Nicole worked as the Community Liaisons & Communication’s Coordinator at American for Indian Opportunity (AIO) in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was responsible for building relationships with organizations and coordinating public education outreach. Nicole’s work and research has led to extensive travel throughout Latin America and Polynesia.
