Abstract
Techniques were developed to aeaaure the effect of pulsed electric fields on the transaeabrane potential (Eg) of Madln-Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells and Chinese haaater ovary (CHO) cells. Unipolar fields were applied utlllxlng laaersed electrodes. Electrode reaction products wire isolated and prevented froa migrating to the cell culture. Preliminary results Indicate that Eg can be reduced by unipolar fields of 666 jieec pulse width, a pulse repetition rate of 15 Hz and a field strength of 150 aV/ca.
