ABSTRACT

Large amplitude vibration analysis of functionally graded laminated skew plates in thermal environment has been studied. The mechanical properties are assumed to be temperature-dependent and graded in the thickness direction using power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. The temperature field is uniformly distributed over the plate surface and varied in the thickness direction only. The nonlinear C0 finite element equations are obtained using Reddy’s HSDT with von-Karman’s strain assumptions. The convergence and comparison studies have been performed to prove the accuracy of the present model. Results with different design parameters have been presented.
