Abstract

The cross-deposition of wavy circuits is essential in the mass production of flexible devices. This article clarifies structural limitation in enhancing the maximum stretch ratio of cross-deposited wavy circuits. In order to break the limitation, tilted wavy circuit structure has been suggested in this study. Contrary to a single-wavy circuit case, increasing the pitch of the wavy circuit at the cross-deposited point faces limitations in increasing the maximum stretch ratio of the wavy circuit. Conversely, increasing the tilting angle of the section of the wavy circuit can effectively increase the maximum stretch ratio at the crossing points. These results are expected to contribute toward the optimization of the mass production of flexible devices.
