Statement of Retraction

We, the Editors and Publisher of the journal Cell Cycle, have retracted the following article:

Yingying Zhang, Binghui Hou, Chunxiao Li & Hong Li (2020) Overexpression of circARF3 mitigates TNF-α-induced inflammatory damage by up-regulating miR-125b, Cell Cycle, 19:11, 1253-1264, DOI: 10.1080/15384101.2020.1731652

Since publication, the authors found that the cell line used in the article, SH-SY5Y, was contaminated. As this directly impacts the reported results and conclusions the authors alerted the issue to the Editor and Publisher and all have agreed to retract the article to ensure the integrity of the scholarly record.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
