Complementary and Alternative Information Resources for the Treatment of Asthma

Abstract

Complementary and alternative therapies are increasingly important to asthmatic patients, and by extension, to their physicians. Online complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) information about asthma is available in multiple formats from subscription, evidence-based summaries to topical overviews on medical and CAM organizational web sites. This article compares the extent and quality of CAM information on the treatment of asthma across a variety of online resources.
