CONSUMER RESOURCES REVIEW: Kay Hogan Smith, Column Editor

Review of U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration’s Find a Health Center Locator

ABSTRACT

In addition to questions about diagnoses, wellness guidelines, and treatment concerns, librarians are sometimes confronted with questions about access to care from uninsured clients. The U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) provides an easy-to-use online “Locator” service for its network of Federally Qualified Health Centers serving low income and/or uninsured individuals across the country. This Locator tool is an important resource for consumer health librarians serving uninsured individuals.
