Farmer and Rancher Health – The AgriSafe Network

Abstract

The AgriSafe Network web page is designed to specifically address the physical and mental health needs of farm and ranch workers. Due to the nature of those industries, workers are at risk of exposure to pesticides, heat, and zoonotic illness. In addition, the heavy physical demands of these jobs can pose additional health risks. AgriSafe provides resources for health care providers as well as farm workers on the specific hazards of work in the agricultural industry, with the goal of creating a network of trained health professionals that can better serve this particular community’s health needs.
