Telehealth Interprofessional Education: Benefits, Desires, and Concerns of Counselor Trainees

ABSTRACT

Telehealth involves health services using technology to provide care remotely. Growth in use, 53% from 2016-to-2017, increases the need for related training. Consensual qualitative research with 11 counselor trainees engaged in telehealth training garnered four major domains: benefits, reflections, training needs, and concerns/challenges. Implications for telehealth education initiatives, training, and benefits to the field of counseling conclude.
