ABSTRACT
Online counseling programs are often viewed as less effective due to the lack of face-to-face interaction; however, the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP) continues to see a rise in universities offering online and distance education programs within our field. Cultivating online student-faculty engagement in supervision through the use of creative techniques is vital to facilitate personal growth, enhance professional development, and increase self-awareness for counselors-in-training (CITs). In this article, an expressive arts technique, a digital creative writing collage, and pictured miniatures with mindfulness are presented as three creative approaches that can be infused during online supervision. For further application, supervision case examples are provided for each technique.
