Abstract
We have synthesized a composite material containing semiconductor nanocrystals with a high third-order optical nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) (ω) = (6.5±2.3) · 10−16 m2/V2 (PbS-18 nm) at λ = 1.064 nm in the case where the nanocrystal size approaches the Bohr radius of an exciton in the material.
