The Study of Liquid Crystal Membrane by a Sensitive Interference Method

Pages 1-7 | Published online: 15 May 2012

Abstract

Here we have expounded the method and results of a detailed study on the reflection from a liquid crystal membrane's beam. The membrane was embedded into Fabri-Perot's interferometer and was under the influence of an external electric field. We have learned that by interferential rings, one can define the alteration of the path difference of the reflected beam of an interferometer accurate to 0.1Å.
