Syntheses, crystal structures and spectral properties of two polymeric Cd(ΙΙ) complexes with 2-methyl-5-(2-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole

Abstract

Two polymeric Cd(ΙΙ) complexes of [Cd2L2(µ-Cl)4]n (1) and [Cd2L2(µ-SCN)4]n (2) were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis, fluorescence and TGA. Complex 1 crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group P21/c. Complex 2 crystallizes in triclinic system with space group p − 1. Both of 1 and 2 are double-bridged Cd(ΙΙ) polymeric complexes bridged by two chlorine atoms and two thiocyanate ions, respectively.
