Side-chain quinoline polymers: synthesis and photochemical properties

, , &

Abstract

The new methacrylic monomers with side chain styrylquinoline containing moiety were synthesized by reaction alcohols with methacryloyl chloride; and the polymers were synthesized by free radical polymerization. Polymers were characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The results of photochemical and optical activities of the corresponding polymers are presented.
