Corrosion resistance of multistep doped graphene oxide/lanthanum-based/silane composite coatings on the magnesium alloys

Abstract

In this study, rare earth lanthanum-based conversion coating (La) was prepared by self-assembly multistep method, and then graphene oxide was spin-coated on the surface of lanthanum-based conversion coating (La/GO) by a spin coating method. The composite coating was coated by a silane coupling agent with better adhesion and coating, and the composite coating (La/GO/GLYMO) with excellent corrosion resistance was prepared. The results showed that the surface of the La/GO/GLYMO coating had the least pitting holes, and the impedance modulus increased by at least three orders of magnitude compared to the La coating after soaking for 72 h.
