Abstract

The solution properties of the mixed valence compound [NEt₄]₄ [Ir(CO)₂Tcbiim]₆ are discussed in relation to the semiconductive material which forms from it in the solid state. Equilibrium constants are reported and charge transfer bands are assigned. (H₂Tcbiim = 4, 4′, 5, 5′ tetracyano-2, 2′-biimidazole.)
