Abstract

The increase in systematic review and evidence-synthesis projects has coincided with the need for database searches to retrieve the most optimal research. While traditionally this has required search iterations and their translations to be executed manually, a select few resources—MEDLINE Transpose, Ovid Search Translator, and Polyglot Search Translator—have emerged in recent years with the capacity to execute translations through automated means. Perceiving these tools’ operability and comparative effectiveness enables researchers to realize their relevance and apply discretion in their utilization.
