ABSTRACT
Naturally colored cotton fibers are of interest in the textile industry because they require no dyeing and result in less environmental pollution. In this study wet scouring with conventional caustic solutions NaOH and NaCO3 as well as enzyme treatments were performed on upland white and brown naturally pigmented cotton fibers to evaluate color fastness of the latter using the CIE L*, a*, b* color system.
For all treatments L* values were alike in both cottons tested while a color shift towards darker brown resulted in colored cotton only and enzymatic activity improved overall performance.

天然彩棉纤维在纺织工业中备受关注,因为它们不需要染色,从而环境污染少。在本项研究中,对高地白色和棕色天然着色棉纤维在常规苛性碱溶液NaOH和碳酸钠及酶处理条件下进行湿洗涤,使用 CIE L*, a*, b* 颜色系统来评估后者的色牢度。对于所有处理,L* 值在所测试的两种彩棉上颇为一致(仅彩棉发生向暗褐色的变化),酶活性提高了整体性能。
