Structural Ratio of Multi-thread Fancy Yarn: Interaction Effect of Both the Number of Wraps and the Overfeed Ratio on Fancy Bouclé Yarn Structure

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to present the Structural Ratio of Multi-thread Fancy Yarn as one parameter that accounts for the interaction pattern between the number of wraps and the overfeed ratio. The fancy yarns were made on a hollow-spindle spinning machine and the experiment was based on a full-factorial experimental design. It was found that increasing both the overfeed ratio and the number of wraps at the same time increased the Number of Fancy Profiles, while the Size of Fancy Profile was reduced. Further, the type of fancy profiles was changing such that the structural ratio of multi-thread bouclé yarn should be between 0.88 and 1.2wpm. Lower values were suitable to make generic overfed fancy yarns while higher values were suitable to make gimp yarns. This study is the first study to account for such an aspect of fancy yarn structure.

研究了多股花式纱线的结构比,并将其作为一个参数,来解释多股花式纱线的包数与过喂率之间的相互作用规律. 在空心锭纺纱机上纺制花式纱线,采用全因素实验设计. 结果表明,增大过喂比和增加包数都能增加花式轮廓的数量,但花式轮廓的尺寸减小. 此外,花式截面轮廓的类型正在发生变化,多股布克雷纱的结构比应在0.88至1.2 wpm之间. 较低的值适用于制造普通的过喂花式纱线,而较高的值适用于制造纱线. 这项研究是第一个解释这种花式纱线结构方面的研究.
