Impact Properties Analysis of Bamboo/glass Fiber Hybrid Composites

ABSTRACT

Six kinds of bamboo/glass fiber vinyl ester hybrid composites with different layers were prepared by vacuum assisted resin infusion (VARI) process. The bending and pendulum properties on them, meanwhile the low-velocity impact and compression-after-impacted response were investigated studied on the energy levels of 7J, 9J, 11J and 13J. The results show that the bending strength, pendulum impact strength and peak impact force of the composite materails with two layers of glass fiber beneath the surface are 120%, 220.68% and 371.38% higher than those of the pure bamboo fiber composite, respectively.

摘要

采用真空辅助树脂灌注(VARI)工艺制备六种不同铺层结构的竹/玻纤乙烯基酯混杂复合材料, 对六种结构的弯曲, 摆锤性能进行研究, 并通过7J, 9J, 11J, 13J四种能量等级研究了复合材料低速冲击, 冲击后压缩响应规律。结果表明, 两层玻璃纤维下表面铺层结构的复合材料具有相对较高的力学性能, 与纯竹纤维复合材料相比, 其弯曲强度, 摆锤冲击强度, 冲击峰值力分别提高了120%, 220.68%, 371.38%。
