ABSTRACT
The Association of Energy Engineers recently created a new certification program for distributed generation and combined heat and power professionals. The purpose of this article is to discuss this new program, describe a new distributed generation course that will soon be offered, and explain the topics that will be covered by the certification examination. The article then outlines the certification procedure for professionals presently working in the area.
