Xiaorong Han
Xiaorong Han is assistant professor of Chinese and Asian history at Butler University in Indianapolis. He received his doctorate in history from the University of Hawaii in 1999. Before joining the Butler history department, he had held teaching positions with the University of Hawaii-West Oahu, Trinity College and the National University of Singapore. His research interests are peasant societies, ethnic minorities, and Nationalist and Communist movements of China and Vietnam. His book, The Chinese Discourses on the Peasant: 1900–1949, is forthcoming from the State University of New York Press.
