Nianqun Yang
Nianqun Yang is a professor of history and deputy director at the Institute of Qing History of the People's University of China, where he received his Ph.D. in history in 1991. He has been a visiting scholar at Yale and the Johns Hopkins University, sponsored by U.S.-PRC Committee on Scholarly Exchanges. He has authored and edited 9 books, including Regionalization of Confucian learning: Intellectual Groups and Confucianism as Historical Discourse (M. E. Sharpe, 2000), 《中层理论:东西方 思想会同下的中国史研究》 [The Middle-Layer Theory: The Study of Chinese History at the Interaction between Eastern and Western Thought] (Jianxi jiaoyu, 2001), and 《空间、记忆、社会转型—新社会史硏究论文集》 [Space, Memory, Social Transformation, Selected Essays of New Social History Research] (Shanghai, 2002).
