Fubing Su

Fubing Su is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and a member of the Asian Studies Program at Vassar College. He teaches comparative politics, political economy, East Asian politics, and Chinese political economy. His research concerns contemporary Chinese political and economic developments, including state-business relations, institutional changes in villages, workplace safety regulations, bureaucratic rules, and gender inequality in politics. His works have appeared in various journals, such as Gender & Politics, Asian Perspective, Journal of Contemporary China, as well as in two edited volumes. He is currently revising his dissertation, “Agency and Institutional Design: Politics of Reforming the Coal Industry in China.” [[email protected]]
