Shaoguang Wang

Shaoguang Wang 王绍光 is professor of political science at the Chinese University of I long Kong and the chief editor of The China Review, an interdisciplinary journal on greater China. He studied for his LL.B. at Peking University and his Ph.D. at Cornell University. He taught at Tijiao Middle School in Wuhan from 1972 to 1977 and Yale University from 1990 to 2000. He has authored, co-authored, and edited 19 books in Chinese and English. In addition, he has contributed to numerous edited volumes and journals. His research interests include political economy, comparative politics, fiscal politics, democratization, and economic and political development in former socialist countries and East Asian countries.
