Ziad Al Achkar
Ziad Al Achkar is an incoming PhD Candidate at the School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Roger Williams University. He earned his Masters of Arts degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University. Prior to starting his PhD at George Mason, he worked at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative as a Researcher focused on the use of Information Communication Technologies in conflict analysis and humanitarian operations. His research covered the ethical use of data, the application of satellite imagery in conflict analysis, and the impact of humanitarian interventions. Achkar’s research interests also include decision making and foreign policy. In addition to his academic work, Achkar researches international football at the national and club level.
