Shamira Gelbman
Shamira Gelbman is Daniel F. Evans Associate Professor in the Social Sciences and an Associate Professor of Political Science at Wabash College. She is the author of The Civil Rights Lobby: The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and the Second Reconstruction (Temple University Press, 2021) and is currently researching the role women lobbyists played in economic and foreign policymaking during the 1940s. She teaches broadly within the American politics subfield, including recent special topics courses on “Protest & Policy in American Politics” and “100 Years of Woman Suffrage: Women as Voters, Candidates, and Elected Officials in US Politics.”
