Michael D. Clifford, PhD, is Faculty and Supervisor, National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP), New York City; Minnesota Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalytic Studies, Minneapolis; and Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, Washington, DC; Cofounding Director, Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Training Program, NIP; Founding Director, Archives of Self Psychology, a project of the International Association of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology; and leader of reading groups, “Shakespeare for Psychoanalysts.” He has a private practice in New York City, working with adults, adolescents, and children.
