In Global Perspectives, we bring you interviews with psychoanalysts from around the world, in an effort to explore the influence of culture, politics and socio-economics on psychoanalytic training, theory development, clinical technique and psychoanalytic practice in general.

Jill Choder-Goldman

Jill Choder-Goldman, LCSW is the interview editor of Psychoanalytic Perspectives and a psychoanalyst/psychotherapist. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from NYU, and her postgraduate psychoanalytic and supervisory training from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, where she is now a clinical supervisor and advisor. She also has a private practice in New York City, treating individuals, couples, and groups.Grigoris Vaslamatzis, MD is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in Athens, Greece. He is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Athens University Medical School, where he is currently director of the Postgraduate Program (MSc) in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Medical Settings. He is also a training analyst of the Hellenic Society of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (of which he was president from 1998-2002 and from 2009-2012), and a member of the Hellenic Society of Psychoanalytic Group Psychotherapy. Dr. Vaslamatzis is the author of more than 140 scientific papers and the editor of 12 books.
