Abstract

Solvothermal reaction of cadmium acetate with orotic acid in ethanol/water solution yielded a novel polymeric complex [Cd(Hdtpc)(H 2 O)] n (1). The complex was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the title complex is a three-dimensional coordination polymeric compound constructed by six–coordinate Cd(II) centers, all Cd atoms locate in an distorted octahedron geometry.
