Two new coordination polymer [Zn(bib)2(NO3)2]n (1) and [Zn(nda)(bib)]n (2) have been synthesized [bib = 1,4-bis(1-imidazol-yl) -2,5-dimethyl benzene and H2nda = 1,4-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid] by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and element analysis. Complex 1 is a two-dimensional layer structure and complex 2 features a three-dimensional 2-fold pcu topological net.
