Abstract

A new luminescent coordination polymer, namely [Zn(pzdc)(AmTAZ)]n (1 H2pzdc = pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid, AmTAZ = 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole), has been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that 1 is a two-dimensional (2D) layered structure with the terminal AmTAZ ligands dangling up and down the layer. Finally, these 2D layers are further extended into a three-dimensional (3D) supramolecular framework through intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
