Abstract

A simple synthetic method has been used to prepare copper(II) complexes of 4′-tolyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (ttpy) ligand, [Cu(ttpy)(NO₃)₂] (1) and [Cu₂(ttpy)(ClO₄)₄]_n (2), in good yields. Also capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) method was used for simultaneous detection and separation of complex 1 and CuO obtained from its calcination.
