Abstract
A new heterometallic coordination polymer, [Cu2Sr(ipO)2(H2O)3]n·2n(H2O) (1 H3ipO = 2-hydroxyisophthalate), has been successfully synthesized and characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that compound 1 features a 2D layer structure based on butterfly-like [Cu2(ipO)2]2− metallo-ligand subunits, and can be simplified into a rare (3,6)-connected kgd topological network. Through intermolecular hydrogen bonds, this 2D sheet extends into a 3D supramolecular framework. In addition, thermal stability of this compound was also investigated.
