Abstract

Nanoporous Ni was fabricated on polystyrene (PS) sphere templates by an electrochemical deposition method. Monodisperse PS microspheres were prepared by microemulsion polymerization. The PS spheres were coated on Cu substrate using electrophoretic deposition method. Afterward, Ni was coated on PS template using electroplating deposition method. Last, the composite material had been soaked in acetone solution for 12 h to obtain nanoporous Ni. We have successfully obtained porous Ni with aperture of 280 nm, porous density of sample is 7 × 1010 ind/cm2, the specific capacitance of porous Ni is 62 Fg−1.
