ABSTRACT
New complex of Mn(C5H4N2O3)2(H2O)2·H2O (1) where C5H4N2O3 is pyridazine-5-olate-4-carboxylate (HPZOC) has been prepared by hydrothermal reaction and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetric analyses. In complex 1, each Mn2+ ion is six-coordinated by six O atoms with chelating mode from the two HPZOC ligands and two water molecules. It was found that complex 1 exhibits good inhibition of the proliferation of MCF-7 and HeLa cells in vitro. Furthermore, the cell apoptosis of complex 1 against MCF-7 cells is detected by Annexin V/propidium iodide flow cytometry.
