Abstract

Two types of complexes derived from bidentate Schiff base ligands (SB) having the general formulae [M(SB)Cl.nH₂O for M = Mn²⁺, Co²⁺, Ni²⁺ and Cu²⁺ and [M(SB)Cl₂nH₂O] for M = Fe³⁺, were synthesized. These complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductance measurements, ir, electronic and ESR spectra as well as the magnetic moment measurements.
