Abstract
Manganese(II) complexes of semi carbazones and thiosemicarbazones of 2-hydroxyacetophenone, 2-hydroxy-naphthaldehyde (MnL2) and 4-hydroxyacetophenone Mn(HL)2Cl2 have been synthesized and characterized. All the complexes show magnetic moments corresponding to five unpaired electrons (5.85–6.02 B.M.). On the basis of electronic and ESR spectral studies, a six coordinated octahedral geometry has been assigned for the complexes.
