Reaction of Thionyl Chloride with bis(Dihthiocarbamato)-Copper(II) Complexes

Abstract

Reaction of bis(dithiocarbamato)copper(II) complexes with thionyl chloride in benzene or carbon tetrachloride leads to the formation of dichloro-(dithiocarbamato)copper(III) complexes. The reaction provides a simple and alternative route to the synthesis of these complexes.
