Abstract
A series of coppe(II) ternary complexes of the general formula [Cu(pda)L] where pda2 = pyridine-2, 6-dicarboxylate and L = a substituted imidazole, have been synthesized and characterised through elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, infrared and electronic spectral measurements, and thermogravimetric analysis.
Activation energies corresponding to the loss of water molecule and decarboxylation of pda2 were determined using multiheating rate kinetic methods.
