Abstract
anti-p-Tolylchloroglyoxime (PTCGH2) has been synthesized by chlorination of anti-p-tolylglyoxime. The reaction of PTCGH2 with suitable aryl or arylklyamines in ethanol between −10°C and −15°C gives unsymmetrical vic-dioximes, namely, anilino-p-tolylglyoxime (APTGH2), benzilamino-p-tolylglyoxime (BAPTGH2) p-toluidino-p-tolylglyoxime (PTPTGH2), p-anisidino-p-tolyl-glyoxime (PAPTGH2). The Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of these ligands are square-planer while the Co(II) complexes are octahedral with water molecules as axial ligands. 1H-NMR, IR and UV-VTS data are given.
