Abstract
A few mixed ligand complexes of the type XX′SnL2 (where X =C1, X′ = S2COCH3, S2COC3 H7-i, S2COC4H9-n, HL = acetylacetone, benzoylacetone and dibenzoylmethane) have been prepared by the reaction of dlchlorobis-(β -diketonato) tin(IV) with sodium alkylxanthate in acetone under refluxing conditions. The new compounds, characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements, IR and NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) spectral studies, probably have a distorted octahedral geometry and contain monodentate xanthates.
