After reviewing the original data, the authors found that the background of several confocal images in E, C, S1, S2, S5, S12, and S14 was modified by the first author. The modifications include covering the incomplete cells at the edge of images or cells without expression of RFP or GFP. These modifications did not change the results or interpretation. In addition, the experiments of the modified images were repeated by another research staff member in the corresponding author's lab, and similar results have been obtained. The correct versions of these figures are provided below:

Figure 3C. Vacuolin-1 (1 μM) inhibited the fusion of EGFR endosomes with lysosomes in HeLa cells.
