Pages 1242-1247 | Published online: 20 May 2008

Abstract

The properties of Fushun shale oil (FSO) are analyzed in this article. The results show that the gasoline fraction in FSO only comprises 2.5–2.7%, fractions below 360°C comprise approximately 40–50%. The waxy oil fractions comprise approximately 25–30%. The residual oil comprises 20–30%; wax content and nitrogen are 20.2% and 1.27%, respectively. Three different processing plans were introduced—aiming at producing light fuel, producing industrial chemicals, and producing fuel and chemical materials, respectively.
